GoingVC Program

Investor Program

The GoingVC Investor Program is an extension of the GoingVC Flagship Program and was built to give aspiring VCs real-world investment experience.

GoingVC members who participate in the Investor Program are placed in a Venture Partner role with the same responsibilities a VC Associate would have.

These responsibilities include sourcing real-world startup investment opportunities, pitching them to the GoingVC Investment Committee, and conducting due diligence on these companies.

The Program is voluntary and runs year-round.

How the Investor Program works
with GVC Partners and Startups

During the GVC Flagship Program, you will have the opportunity to apply to the Investor Program.

If accepted, you will be placed in peer groups of 5-10 which are led by a GVC Principal - a GoingVC alum currently working as a professional venture investor at a full-fledged fund.

This person will guide you as you assess the opportunities you present, and will be your mentor as you begin your VC career.

As a member of the Investor Program, you will hone essential VC skills by learning hands-on what to look for in a company, what market trends to pay attention to in your preferred industries, and how to pitch the company to others.

The Investor Program will give you the opportunity to

Think like a VC and assess real-world deals
Gain VC experience in a real investment team setting by sourcing, diligencing, and pitching actual companies
Create meaningful relationships with founders and learn what their challenges and needs are
